  • Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 will begin its coast-to-coast tour from Cheyenne, leaving for California on March 29 and returning April 24 in celebration of the U.S. semiquincentennial. Public displays are scheduled in Roseville from April 10 to 11 and in Ogden from April 18 to 19.  KGAB
  • Wake Up Wyoming with Glenn Woods airs on K2 Radio in Casper, KGAB in Cheyenne & KOWB in Laramie, while its free app lets listeners stream live, access past episodes and chat with the host during breaks.  KGAB

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Meteorologist Don Day Jr. and Mayor Patrick Collins are concerned about Cheyenne’s record low snowfall as the National Weather Service reported only 7.5 inches by today; they say more snow is needed by mid-February to secure water access.  106.3 Cowboy Country

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • BOPU plans to begin repair on a 42-inch water transmission main this week in a remote area south of town. The work will last about three weeks and may cause fluctuating pressure and discolored water — customers should follow guidelines if water remains unclear.  KFBC
