  • Wyoming Army National Guard engineers from the 307th Engineer Detachment will work with Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County this spring to build affordable housing in Cheyenne (as part of innovative readiness training).  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

  • The Wyoming Arts Council will host state finals for Poetry Out Loud and Poetry Ourselves on March 1 and 2 in Cheyenne.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle
  • Casper author McKenzie Hoag released her new children's adventure novel honoring her lost baby by weaving a tale of cowboy adventure and hidden mysteries. Book signings will be held at Wind City Books on March 14 and at Barnes & Noble in Cheyenne on March 28.  Cap City News

SPORTS NEWS

  • North Dakota State will join the Mountain West Conference as a football-only member following confirmed negotiations, joining newcomer Northern Illinois. The conference has secured a new media rights deal that promises expanded opportunities and growth for its programs.  KGAB
  • Three Wyoming athletes are competing at the Winter Olympics in Milan. Breezy Johnson (aiming for gold in downhill) leads the trio as Jaelin Kauf defends her silver in moguls and Anna Gibson competes in ski mountaineering with Senator Barrasso congratulating them.  KGAB
  • The Cowboy Joe Club launched its Step Forward campaign to raise $500,000 for Wyoming Cowboy football by April 25. It has already raised $250,000 (from coach Jay Sawvel’s $125,000 and an anonymous matching donation) to support the effort.  KFBC
  • The University of Wyoming wrestling team hosted Air Force yesterday at 6 p.m. at the UniWyo Sports Complex and will face North Dakota State Sunday at 1 p.m. (Both duals are shown on Flo and the Mountain West Sports Network) as the team hopes to rebound after a recent loss.  KGAB
