- ➤ Aaron Walker, a 12th grader at South High School, was named LCSD1 Student of the Week for the week of Feb. 23 for his academic excellence, including a 4.0 GPA and near-perfect ACT score (he also leads the drum line). Cap City News

Wendy Schuler has reintroduced a bill that would require local school districts to develop cellphone and smart device policies — allowing tailored approaches to reduce distractions and cyberbullying.
