GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Donors raised $33,784 by bidding on 12 search and rescue license plates during a recent auction, WYDOT said. The funds will support local volunteer teams responding to over 300 annual missions, with Plate 307 drawing $5,700 in bids+ boosting equipment needs.  Cap City News
  • A House committee in Cheyenne approved a K-12 school funding recalibration bill after initial discussions stalled and the Senate offered amendments — lawmakers will review proposals in upcoming sessions.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle
  • City crews from the Urban Forestry Division will spray spruce trees during the week of March 2 in parks and city-owned properties to prevent ips beetle infestation (spraying will occur on calm days).   • Cheyenne Laramie County Public Health announced a voluntary recall of Great Value Cottage Cheese sold at Walmart due to incomplete pasteurization (no illnesses reported).
