- ➤ Cheyenne’s long-run Delta Kappa Gamma used book sale returns this weekend at the former JoAnne Fabrics location (Cheyenne Frontier Mall) to raise funds for Laramie County education programs and will offer discounted books and a silent auction; a second sale with a box option follows next weekend. - ➤ Hilltop Bank completed its acquisition of Cheyenne State Bank on Feb. 27 and welcomed new customers by installing signs and opening its building at 101 W. 19th Street downtown; the bank will convert operations over the weekend of Mar. 13 & expand its local services. Cap City News

- ➤ State Treasurer Curt Meier said Wyoming needs $6 billion for housing in the next 15 years and urged using federal Opportunity Zones as the Legislature fails to pass any housing measures (legislators did not back any housing law this session). Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Laramie County commissioners infused an extra $250k into United Way on Tuesday using sales tax overages and approved grants for Orchard Valley Park and LED lighting upgrades at the governmental complex. - ➤ On Tuesday, legislators voted to keep funds for teacher pay in a dedicated silo by rejecting an amendment that would have allowed flexible use of instruction money. The school finance recalibration bill now moves to its final House reading, with further steps pending. Cowboy State Daily
