  • A Boeing C-17 Globemaster III created an optical illusion earlier this week at the Capital city airport, making it seem as if the plane was hovering over Cheyenne. Officials explained the effect comes from parallax (a trick of perspective) during its normal landing.  KGAB

  • The Staff & Clef Music Club of Cheyenne is offering two $1,000 scholarships for high school seniors this spring. Interested students should contact the club for application details.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Cheyenne and nearby areas will see near 60 degree temperatures for 36 hours today and Thursday—before a cold front brings rain turning to snow Thursday night and blustery winds Friday; the Wyoming Department of Transportation closed Interstate 25 and Highway 85 to high profile vehicles.  Cap City News
