  • Cheyenne's Needs Inc. Food Pantry is asking for donations to support its Emergency Home Starter Box Program — it needs items such as silverware sets, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and bakeware. Donations can be dropped off at 900 Central Ave during operating hours.  KGAB

CRIME NEWS

  • Cheyenne police arrested 18-year-old Parker Chase Hammontree on March 19 after officers responded to a vehicle burglary on Maxwell Avenue and a home intrusion on Green River that recovered a knife, and he now faces a felony charge of aggravated burglary.  Cap City News

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Wyoming Arts Council is accepting applications for its Native Art Fellowship that awards $5,000 to up to two Native artists in Wyoming—applications are due online by May 15.  Cap City News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A federal appeals court ruled that a congressional act takes priority over Wyoming trespass laws in a widely watched corner-crossing case—showing that state enforcement may change going forward. The ruling is expected to influence future legal and enforcement actions in the state.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle
  • Laramie County commissioners approved a legal services agreement with the Law Office of Shelly Kay Flot PC to help indigent parents in neglect cases on March 4—commissioners set the rate at $100 per hour and Commissioner Linda Heath recused herself from voting due to a conflict of interest.  Cap City News
