ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Roads 154 and 207 east of Carpenter at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday caused the death of a juvenile passenger when a southbound pickup struck a westbound car's passenger side, injuring the adult female driver who was taken to CRMC while a Wyoming Highway Patrol crash reconstructionist was called to investigate the incident.  KFBC

CRIME NEWS

  • Cheyenne police charged 18-year-old Isaiah Allen after he threatened neighbors with a machete on Saturday at the 500 block of Williams Street—witnesses say he crashed his truck into a fence, was very drunk with a blood test reading of 0.187, and did not have a license or insurance.  Cap City News
  • Cheyenne police are asking for help finding a 12-year-old runaway named Adelyn Earl who was last seen near Sun Valley Park at 10 p.m. on March 23—anyone with information should call 307—637—6525.  106.3 Cowboy Country

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Cheyenne City Council will consider liquor license applications for businesses including The Green Door, Frontier Trampoline Park and Parkway Pizza at its 6 p.m. meeting today in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building. The council will also review a proposed ordinance to authorize a single dockless scooter operator through a formal procurement process — a move that would update local mobility rules.  Cap City News
  • Former Senator Al Simpson, who died on March 14th at 93, will lie in state at the Capitol Rotunda on Thursday and Friday. A military procession will arrive at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday and the Capitol will remain open for visitation until 8 p.m., with a military recession and brief remarks scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m.—Chief Justice Kate Fox, Rev. Christian Paul Basel and his brother will participate.  KGAB
  • Residents can pay respects to the late U.S. Senator Alan Simpson as he will lie in state in the Capitol rotunda on March 27 and 28— a processional will start at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday with brief remarks and a military procession will occur at 2 p.m. on Friday. His family will host a free public celebration of life at the University of Wyoming Arena Auditorium on March 29.  Cap City News
