- ➤ A 46-year-old Cheyenne transient housed at Laramie County Detention Center reportedly kicked a jailer on March 18th at 7:13 p.m.—sending the officer to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment—and now faces a felony charge with a $50,000 cash bond and a preliminary hearing on March 28th at 9:45 a.m. KGAB
- ➤ Cheyenne police arrested 57-year-old Velma Louise Johnson on Monday, March 24 at 5:59 p.m. at her home on East Allison Road for burglary and theft over $1,000; she appeared in court on Tuesday, March 25 and her bond was set at $5,000 with a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 4 at 9 a.m. KGAB
- ➤ The Washakie County Sheriff’s Office announced on March 23 that remains found by a Wyoming Game and Fish Warden were identified as Breanna Mitchell through dental records — her family was notified and officials are investigating her death after her vehicle got stuck in July 2023. Cap City News

- ➤ On Monday, the Cheyenne City Council approved a contract modification that adds $52,836 for extra engineering services on the Christensen Road project. The added work covers storm water drainage improvements, updated signage and lighting, platting rights-of-way, and annexing the roadway, with further discussion planned for the overpass. - ➤ At its Monday meeting on March 24, the Cheyenne City Council approved several actions—including liquor license applications, a final plat for 112 new residential lots in Harmony Valley, a collective labor agreement for Cheyenne Firefighters that will take effect July 1—and various city contracts for services. The council also set a public hearing on a bar and grill liquor license for April 14. Cap City News
- ➤ The Cheyenne City Council is considering an ordinance that would require dockless vehicle companies to operate under a formal procurement process through an RFP system—this change aims to streamline coordination by selecting a single provider and addressing issues with current month-to-month licenses.
