  • Cheyenne residents will be encouraged to enjoy the city’s parks and 47 miles of Greenway on National Take a Walk in the Park Day, set to occur this Sunday, March 30. Parks and Greenway planner Jeanie Shrednik said walking outdoors offers benefits such as sunshine and fresh air.  City of Cheyenne
  • The city of Cheyenne is now accepting registration for its annual Adult Summer Dodgeball Tournament and Basketball League. Dodgeball teams pay $150 and free agents $25 with early sign-ups ending May 30 for a double-elimination tournament on June 7 — the basketball league for players 16 and older offers Women’s and 40+ divisions with early registration ending May 1 and a late fee from May 2 to May 15.  Cap City News

CRIME NEWS

  • On Tuesday, Cheyenne police charged 29-year-old transient Brittani Imel with felony meth and marijuana possession after responding to a vehicle obstructing East Pershing Boulevard and Salem Road; a search found suspected drugs—she also had an active warrant from Jan. 30—leading to her arrest.  Cap City News
  • A 41-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested on March 20 at 5:29 p.m. at City Barbers & Stylists after a K-9 unit alerted to a suspected stash of methamphetamine in his speeding vehicle — he now faces felony charges for possession and intent to deliver, has a $15,000 cash bond, and his preliminary hearing is set for March 28 at 11 a.m.  KING FM

ECONOMY NEWS

  • At a community meeting Tuesday night in Bar Nunn, company Radiant explained plans to build portable nuclear microreactors in Natrona County that would create 70 to 80 jobs initially and eventually grow to 230 when operational by 2028. Local officials and residents remain cautious about spent fuel storage and legislative hurdles as Radiant plans to begin construction late 2026 or early 2027 on 130 acres — aiming to revitalize the local economy.  Cap City News

  • Residents of Cheyenne and Laramie County are invited to a Lunch-and-Learn session to review the upcoming 2025 to 2027 Community Development Block Grant plan and challenges in fair housing at noon on April 10. The event will be held in the DDA Conference Room on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 2101 O’Neil Ave — residents can also join via Zoom.  Cap City News
