- ➤ A 29-year-old Cheyenne man, identified as Moises Michael Garcia, was arrested on March 25 for allegedly strangling his girlfriend and is held on a $10,000 cash bond—his preliminary hearing is set for April 2 at 9:30 a.m. KGAB
- ➤ A 49-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested and charged with felony strangulation and four misdemeanors after he allegedly beat his newly wedded wife unconscious twice in a domestic violence incident that began on March 23 at about 12:03 a.m.—a neighbor reported hearing her cries for help as she suffered a knot on her temple and a bruise on her left arm before managing to escape. - ➤ The southern portion of Kiwanis Community Park will close April 1 for seasonal wildlife protection to keep the large pond safe—nesting waterfowl will have a secure area and young birds will not be stressed.
