Good morning, Cheyenne. Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 7th of April.

EDUCATION NEWS

  • During a six-week trial in Laramie County, a judge held that Wyoming's education funding must add elementary school mental health counselors to meet growing student needs — temporary grants have not kept pace with rising challenges. Lawmakers will now update the funding model to better support students amid increasing behavioral issues.  Cowboy State Daily

HEALTH NEWS

  • Between March 31 and April 4, the Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department inspected restaurants, bars, grocery stores and other food service providers and classified violations as either critical or noncritical.
