  • Rooted in Cheyenne will host a free Tree Care Workshop at Laramie County Community College at the Pathfinder Building on Saturday, April 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Homeowners learn tree planting, maintenance and design from certified arborists + nonprofits, with breakfast and 5-gallon tree prize for 20 registrants.  City of Cheyenne

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees honored standout students and a staff member during its meeting. Hayley Morton and Alexandria “Axi” Mitchell-Elsasser received Student of the Week awards, and Bridget Whiteman was named Educational Support Person of the Year (award presented by Western Vista Federal Credit Union).  Cap City News
  • School staff and community members pleaded with Laramie County School District 1 trustees on Monday to save the Safe and Drug-Free Schools program after federal funding was cut.
