Good morning, Cheyenne. Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 12th of April.

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Wyoming beef producers have struggled to sell American beef in Australia because the country accepts only beef from cattle that are born, raised and slaughtered in the U.S.—a rule that prevents products blended from Canada or Mexico from entering the market. Sen. John Barrasso and others said the tariff adjustments announced on April 2 and heated Senate debates underscored a trade dispute that hurt local producers and could lead to new changes in export rules.  Cowboy State Daily

  • Rhayce Barta, a senior at South High School, has been chosen to be honored as LCSD1 Student of the Week for the week of April 14 because of his strong academic record and active participation in school activities.
