  • Make-A-Wish Wyoming hosts the third annual Serving Up Wishes event at Little America on Saturday at 6 p.m. The evening will offer impact, connection and celebration for families and community members.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

  • On Tuesday, Microsoft announced its plan to purchase 3,200 acres of land south of Cheyenne for new data centers. The move is expected to support regional tech growth in the area.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

CULTURE NEWS

  • LCCC choirs and the Cheyenne Capital Chorale will perform Light Beyond Shadow at 7 p.m. May 2 in the Surbrugg/Prentice Auditorium on the Cheyenne campus. Tickets cost $10 and the program features Eric Whitacre’s Sleep and Sogno di Volare to explore themes of darkness & hope.  Cap City News
  • Wyoming Writers Inc. (with the Wyoming Arts Council and American Heritage Center) extended the contest deadline for a statewide writing contest celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, inviting local authors to submit creative entries by the new deadline.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

  • Rocky Mountain Power's parent, PacifiCorp, revised its long range plan showing no new wind or solar facilities in Wyoming or the region from 2027 to 2045 following a repeal of renewable tax credits on July 4, 2025 (this move may reshape future renewable development).  Cap City News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Cheyenne officials plan to annex 1,260 acres west of town for a new business park while local residents voice concerns+ officials say they will review feedback before moving forward.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle
  • City officials urge residents to follow safety rules on the nearly 50-mile Greater Cheyenne Greenway today; pedestrians, bicycles, and electric scooters limited to 20 mph are allowed while gasoline vehicles (including motorcycles) remain banned and users must slow to 15 mph and yield to pedestrians.  Cap City News
