ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Late Monday night on I-25 north of Cheyenne, a head-on collision killed 41-year-old Lena Rimson and injured a truck driver when her Ford Explorer drifted into oncoming traffic near milepost 37 two miles south of the Little Bear exit—driver fatigue was reported as a possible factor.  KGAB

CRIME NEWS

  • A 42-year-old Cheyenne man named Roy Castrun Burnett Jr. was tased after he ran toward a woman with a metal bar on Friday, April 11 at 9:48 p.m. near a home on East 10th Street—and he now faces felony charges for aggravated assault, battery and interference with a peace officer, with a hearing set for Wednesday, April 23 at 1:30 p.m.  106.3 Cowboy Country
  • Laramie County Coroner Rebecca Reid announced Wednesday that the body found on Cheyenne Refinery's property on November 14th, 2023 was identified as 61-year-old transient Neal D. Samson—DNA analysis from the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation confirmed his identity—while officials continue to investigate his cause of death.  KGAB

  • Duda Farm Fresh Foods has recalled Marketside Celery Sticks with a best used by date of 03/23—sold at Walmart in Wyoming, Colorado, and other states—after tests found potential Listeria contamination in a sample from a Georgia store. Cheyenne shoppers with these products should discard them immediately.  KING FM
  • Marketside Celery Sticks with a best used by date of March 23rd were recalled after samples in Georgia tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes, and shoppers in Wyoming and Colorado who still have them in freezers should throw them away to avoid potential illness.  106.3 Cowboy Country
