ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 56-year-old man died after his car rolled over at County Roads 138 and 203 — about 10 miles west of Carpenter — on April 16 as speed likely caused the loss of control, officials said.  KGAB
  • At about 2 a.m. on Thursday morning, Cheyenne police responded to a rollover crash on the 3100 block of Reed Avenue where a white GMC Sierra struck a parked Jeep, pushing it into another vehicle and injuring a 27-year-old man who was transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center — authorities suspect driver impairment and have ordered alcohol testing.  Cap City News
  • A westbound car lost control near the intersection of County Roads 138 and 203 around 12:57 p.m. on Wednesday—causing a rollover crash that killed a 56-year-old man as officials said speed may have contributed and the coroner will release his name after notifying the family.  Cap City News

  • Upcoming concrete and sidewalk repairs near the Cheyenne Municipal Building will close the west entrance from April 21 to 25 and visitors should use the east entrance off the courtyard between the building and the George Cox Parking Structure.  City of Cheyenne
  • Wyoming Public Service Commission approved a settlement for an $85.5 million rate hike that will raise residential electric bills by about $14 starting in June, with a final order expected in a few weeks. Rocky Mountain Power will workshop outstanding issues with stakeholders to address rising costs driven by fossil fuel volatility—wildfire liability insurance and investments in renewable energy.  Cap City News
  • On March 4, the Laramie County Board approved contracts for internet service at the Senior Services Center with Bluepeak for $31,600, employee benefits management with Rocky Mountain Reserve LLC, and two building repair projects with TRANE US Inc.—they also approved a 24-hour catering permit for a Vinos Wine and Spirits event on April 25 at the Archer Complex.  Cap City News
  • The Laramie County Board of Commissioners approved seasonal and yearly fireworks permits on Tuesday after discussing safety concerns and past compliance issues. The permits for USA Fireworks, Wyoming Fireworks Warehouse, and Seasonal Sales Inc. come with strict conditions—such as limits on noise, advertising restrictions, and distancing rules for managers—to ensure community safety.  Cap City News
