CULTURE NEWS

  • The Troopers Legacy Corps has opened online registration for its 2026 season welcoming performers aged 18 and up. Virtual instruction leads to a rehearsal week in Casper beginning June 21 and ends with a performance at Drums Along the Rockies in Fort Collins on June 27.  Cap City News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • On Tuesday, Apr. 21, Wyoming signed an agreement with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to let the state regulate uranium and radioactive byproducts from rare earth mining (reducing duplicate oversight and permitting costs for projects like Rare Element Resources’ demonstration plant in Upton).  Cowboy State Daily

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Bureau of Land Management on Monday opened a 30-day public scoping period to collect input on 274 oil and gas parcels covering 363,618 acres — the feedback will help shape plans for a December sale in the region.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle
  • On Tuesday, the Laramie County Board approved permits for Riedel Ventures LLC to run Bit-O-Wyo Ranch on a 40-acre site and for L.G. Everist Inc. to expand its quarry to 600 acres. The board set event limits after community concerns (traffic, noise, and fire risk) were raised.  Cap City News
  • The Bureau of Land Management will auction trained wild horses on July 23 at Cheyenne Frontier Days as part of the Day of the American West. The event will include a live training demonstration at 4 p.m. and requires buyers (18+) to meet the agency's humane care standards.  Cap City News
