  • A 24-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested for felony drug possession when police found him with about 80 fentanyl pills during an investigation of a vehicle theft, and his cash bond was set at $10K with a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 28 at 10:30 a.m.  KGAB
  • Cheyenne police arrested three suspects on Thursday, April 24, for a knife assault that occurred on April 17 in the American Legion parking lot on East Lincolnway, where a victim with cuts and bruises was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center after he intervened in a fight outside Redwood Lounge & Package Liquors.  Cap City News
  • A 24-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested on April 16 after police discovered him with 80 fentanyl pills at a home on East 18th Street and received a $10,000 cash bond on April 18 — his preliminary hearing will be held Monday, April 28 at 10:30 a.m.—.  106.3 Cowboy Country

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Cheyenne Urban Forestry and the City celebrated Arbor Day on April 24, marking 43 years as a Tree City USA and 28 years with the Arbor Day Foundation’s Growth Award. At Sun Valley Park, third graders planted four trees and City staff presented awards (including honors to Bill Gonzales, the Gallardos from Big Bird Landscaping, and representatives from Freedom’s Edge Brewing Co.) for their community support.  City of Cheyenne

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A section of the Greater Cheyenne Greenway near Crow Creek will close for sewer line work by the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities starting Monday, April 28 until Friday, May 9. The closure affects the stretch from the Ames Avenue underpass to near Optimist Park—once the work is complete, the Greenway will reopen.  Cap City News
  • The Wyoming Transportation Commission awarded a Cheyenne contractor almost $3.51 million to pave 8.6 miles of U.S. Highway 30/287 in Carbon County - the project involves asphalt paving, chip sealing, traffic control, grading and milling, and will be completed by June 30.  Cap City News
