  • Nuvision Credit Union and the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce announced they are partnering for the Cheyenne Military Awards Lunch set for May 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Little America Hotel’s Grand Ballroom — the luncheon will honor past, present and future military members with four excellence awards and feature keynote speaker Col. CRIME NEWS

  • A 57-year-old Cheyenne man, identified as Timothy Franklin Fox, was arrested on felony charges for possessing fentanyl when a highway trooper stopped his Jaguar on Interstate 25 Tuesday, April 22 for a faulty headlight and suspicious behavior—he was found with six bags of fentanyl pills, his bond was set at $10,000 and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 2 at 11 a.m.  KING FM
  • A 57-year-old Cheyenne man—identified as Timothy Franklin Fox—was stopped on April 22 at 11:56 p.m. near mile marker 4 on Interstate 25 for a faulty headlight, and a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper discovered six bags containing 37.2 grams of fentanyl pills in his Jaguar, leading to his arrest on felony possession charges with a $10,000 cash bond and a preliminary hearing set for May 2 at 11 a.m.  106.3 Cowboy Country

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Wyoming Game and Fish Department began revising the State Wildlife Action Plan to guide conservation of species and habitats statewide—public comment is accepted until June 6 to inform the update.  Cap City News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Wyoming Army National Guard aviators, along with Cheyenne Fire Rescue and other local teams, conducted bucket drop training at Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center on April 16th to boost wildfire response readiness. The exercise improved water bucket deployment skills—strengthening coordination between state and federal agencies and ensuring better emergency preparedness.  Cap City News
  • The City of Cheyenne announced plans today to build Freedom Point at Lions Park to honor veterans and first responders. The memorial will feature a Soldier’s Cross set within an eight-point compass rose and include tributes such as an 80 percent replica of the Vietnam Memorial and displays for military branches (the project is in the fundraising stage and will continue into next Spring).  106.3 Cowboy Country
