- ➤ New sidewalks will improve access to Lincoln Park and connect it to Johnson Pool and nearby neighborhoods in South Cheyenne – the project uses ADA-compliant curb ramps along 7th Street, Evans Avenue, and 8th Street and was re-funded with $71,500 in federal Community Development Block Grant funds. - ➤ The City of Cheyenne will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on May 13 to mark the completion of renovations to the Depot. The $1.4 million project included a new pedestrian patio, renovated restrooms, replaced lobby doors, upgraded fencing along the Union Pacific Railroad, and kitchen area improvements — all funded by 6th Penny resources for Downtown Cheyenne projects. - ➤ A 30-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested on Sunday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m. on Reiner Court and Avenue C after he broke a female's ankle during a fight—he faces a felony charge for aggravated assault and battery with serious bodily injury, his bond was set at $5,000 and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14. - ➤ A 30-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly breaking a woman's ankle during a fight—he was arrested at Reiner Court and Avenue C at 1:30 p.m. on April 27 and appeared in court on April 30 with his bond set at $5,000 cash and a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 14. 106.3 Cowboy Country
- ➤ An 18-year-old Coloradan was arrested on May 5 after driving the wrong way on the Warren Avenue viaduct in Cheyenne, and deputies reported he showed signs of intoxication—leading them to search his vehicle and find a stolen gun, alcohol, and marijuana while he now faces misdemeanor DUI, possession charges, a minor in possession of alcohol charge, wrong way per traffic control device, and felony theft.
