- ➤ Edwin Lawrence Larry Husfelt, a 63-year-old Burns man, was arrested on April 30 after his longtime girlfriend of 22 years reported he beat her up and he now faces felony charges for strangulation plus aggravated assault with his bond set at $5,000 cash and a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 21. - ➤ Cheyenne resident Jeston Earnest Freeman, 42, was captured on May 13 in the 1000 block of Weatherby Drive on a felony warrant for failing to appear on a DUI charge from his fourth offense—police later served him with a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear on a charge of interference and public intoxication. 106.3 Cowboy Country

- ➤ Rooted in Cheyenne will host its 17th neighborhood tree planting event on May 17. - ➤ At Central Wyoming College, Gov. Mark Gordon warned that funding public education and new school choice programs—including a voucher program opening today—poses a major challenge for the Legislature after a court mandated increased support. He said lawmakers must also address property tax cuts and other financial limits that may strain the state's ability to meet its education promise. Cap City News
- ➤ Cheyenne Police Department is hosting its 16th annual Cheyenne Neighborhood Night on Thursday, July 10 to strengthen ties between law enforcement and local residents. - ➤ Cheyenne Mayor Patrick Collins said the city is facing lower sales and property tax revenues as the council works on the budget for Fiscal Year 2026 that begins on July 1.
