COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Police responded to a report on May 11 about a large purple urn found near a park pavilion but could not locate it after searching the area. A coroner explained that such urns are sometimes left in meaningful public spaces to honor loved ones.  Cowboy State Daily

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Cheyenne Fire Rescue contained a fire at the Historic Pumphouse on Saturday night after part of the roof collapsed (at 1504 Dillon Ave) and crews from neighboring districts responded quickly to secure the scene and reopen nearby roads.  Cap City News

  • RR Auction will offer 170 Wild West artifacts including a glass negative of Butch Cassidy and a Sitting Bull contract from Jochen Zeitz’s collection. Museum experts (curators) note local museums may not afford these items as bidding closes May 21.  Cowboy State Daily
