- ➤ The Cheyenne Kiwanis Club Foundation announced awards of almost $43,000 to local youth organizations — including Make a Wish, Girls on the Run, and Montessori School of Cheyenne — to help fund programs that offer cultural, educational, recreational, and healthy opportunities for children. - ➤ Cheyenne police are asking the public to help identify a man caught on camera stealing a $1,049.99 DeWalt tool set from Cheyenne Bomgaars at Frontier Mall on May 13 at 2:15 p.m. (the suspect is believed to be driving a blue or silver mid-sized sedan) and (informants may receive up to $1,000 while remaining anonymous). - ➤ A Cheyenne woman—identified as Leigha Stewart—was arrested on May 9, 2023 after shoplifting $1,325.88 worth of merchandise from Kohl's on July 7, 2023; she faces a felony theft charge that could result in up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $10,000. Cap City News
- ➤ Timothy E. Lovell of Cheyenne was charged with three felony forgery counts after he reportedly cashed over $8,500 in fraudulent checks from Ring Tail R Cattle Co. LLC at two Pinnacle Bank branches, and he was arrested on May 13 after staff recognized him — he now faces court proceedings. Cap City News
