  • Cheyenne Animal Shelter launched its Make Hope Happen campaign to raise $60,000 by June 30 to cover urgent year-end needs, and officials said 30 kittens arrived last week with respiratory infections—needing immediate care.  Cap City News

  • The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is asking for help identifying a man who passed two counterfeit $100 bills at Family Dollar on June 5 at 1305 S. Greeley Hwy - anyone recognizing him is urged to call Deputy Funari at 307-640-0267.  KING FM
  • A 25-year-old Cheyenne woman — Amber Rene Norman — was arrested for burglary when officers responded at 3:34 p.m. on June 7 after she reportedly shoplifted from a Walmart where she was banned.  KING FM

  • Kevin Costner will air an episode of his new series on History Channel on June 23—showing that Capt. Fetterman was respected by his men rather than the arrogant figure once believed. ECONOMY NEWS

  • Laramie County drivers saw their average gas price drop 9 cents to $2.83 as refineries ramped up output, making the area the second cheapest in Wyoming for the third week in a row—AAA reported Wyoming's overall average fell 4 cents over the same period. Nationally, gas prices dropped 1.8 cents in the past week as supplies increased.  Cap City News

  • The City of Cheyenne’s Housing & Community Development Division released draft plans for community development and fair housing that residents can review from June 9 until July 8.
