Good morning, Cheyenne. Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 17th of June.

CRIME NEWS

  • A 19-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested on charges of second degree murder after deputies responded at 12:14 a.m. on June 13 at 505 Williams Street in unincorporated Laramie County for the fatal shooting death of 18-year-old Ryan Snow following a reported disagreement (anyone with information is asked to call Detective Corporal Dudley at 307-633-4726).  106.3 Cowboy Country
  • Laramie County Sheriff’s Office added two fugitives—Joseph Carrera, wanted for burglary and failure to appear, and Domonique Hernandez-Walker, sought for strangulation of a household member—to its 10 most wanted list.  KING FM

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees meets today at the Storey Gym Boardroom and via Zoom to review proposed meal price increases for the next school year and contracts including a multimillion dollar insurance package and school resource officers. Trustees will also consider renewals for online curriculum, furniture, services for students with disabilities, and a fundraising trip for the All-City Children’s Chorus — decisions that affect district operations.  Cap City News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Wyoming residents who have served their sentences and rebuilt their lives may still be denied Second Amendment rights after a conviction. Legal experts say expungement can clear records and restore gun rights — eligibility varies by offense and waiting period — so working with a lawyer can help reclaim this protection.  Cap City News
  • Today, Laramie County commissioners at the Historic Courthouse in Cheyenne will review agreements for public safety and facility upgrades, including a $22,302.47 deal for ballistic shields and several HVAC contracts. They will also hold public hearings on land use proposals—such as the site plan for a new gold and copper mine—and consider board appointments and asset deletions.  Cap City News
