Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne is moving forward with a $140.9 billion Sentinel missile upgrade — a program that will replace aging Minuteman III missiles while modernizing the nation’s nuclear arsenal. The project will grow its team from 22 to about 200 workers and is expected to boost the local economy by drawing up to 5,000 construction workers, with a new schedule set for 2027.
