Good morning, Cheyenne. Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 14th of July.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • This past weekend, Cheyenne hosted events including a cowboy-themed drag brunch at Office Bar & Grill benefiting Wyoming Equality, a bonsai show at Cheyenne Botanic Gardens on July 12, and Family Days Dino Day at the Wyoming State Museum with interactive exhibits and a raffle. Local arts also featured a 69th Old-Fashioned Melodrama at 7 p.m. and live music by Nick Park at 8 p.m. — each event brought locals together — offering varied cultural experiences.  Cap City News
  • In January, a teen driver named Gracie slid on ice and hit Cheyenne financial advisor Bryan Pedersen’s Escalade, totally damaging her car while denting his vehicle. CRIME NEWS

  • The Wyoming Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for a missing 12-year-old girl last seen in Idaho Falls who was taken in the middle of the night by two adult males driving a 2012 dark blue Ford Focus with a Texas plate WBP6759; she is about 5'2" with brown hair and weighs 75 pounds, and officials suspect she is being driven to Colorado and ask anyone with information to call 911.  Cap City News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A coalition of conservation and hunting groups says government holding facilities are crowded with mustangs and supports allowing euthanasia of older horses (over age 10) as a last resort to protect rangeland and wildlife.
