- ➤ On Monday morning, the Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne held the first Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfast and served free flapjacks to thousands of residents and visitors as part of a drill for feeding many in an emergency. More breakfasts will be offered on Wednesday and Friday between 7 and 9 a.m.—using over 4,000 pounds of pancake mix and 400 gallons of syrup. KGAB

- ➤ Two Wyoming women—Mary Renee Weymouth of Lander and Cathy Kay Gordon of Shoshoni—were federally sentenced on July 14 in Cheyenne after being intercepted in Fremont County while returning from Las Vegas with six pounds of meth and 29 pounds of marijuana, with Weymouth receiving nearly six years and Gordon 10 years after a charge for carrying a firearm.
