- ➤ John M. Welch is facing felony property destruction charges after causing extensive water damage at the Pioneer Hotel at 209 W. 17th St. on July 19 at 7:29 p.m.—officials say a sink overflow triggered the fire alarm and led to repair estimates of up to $12,000. Cap City News

- ➤ Following the death of an airman on Sunday at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, the Air Force announced today that it has suspended the M18 modular handgun pending further investigations—Security Forces airmen will use M4 rifles until the review is complete. - ➤ On Tuesday, three 2023 CFD champions advanced to the Semi Finals at Frontier Park—Kade Sonnier, Ryder Sanford, and barrel racer Sue Smith. Sonnier scored 89 points on his ride, Sanford earned 87 points, and Smith tied for third in her event. Cap City News
- ➤ Cheyenne is hosting the AA American Legion State Baseball Tournament, and Cheyenne Post Six, the two-seed, will face the Jackson Giants on Monday evening — July 28. - ➤ At Cheyenne Frontier Days, Wacey Schalla from Arapaho, Okla. earned the Xtreme Bulls championship after two nights of rodeo action—he narrowly beat world champion Stetson Wright with a total score of 182 and earned $28,607 in prize money.
