- ➤ Cheyenne will soon be home to its largest AI data center as Tallgrass & Crusoe start construction of an 1.8-gigawatt facility in southeast Cheyenne that is designed to expand to 10 gigawatts. - ➤ Cheyenne police arrested 18-year-old Marcus T. Clark on July 14 after finding him with blood on his hands near a truck and evidence that he broke several windows at a home—he faces a felony charge for destruction of property over $1,000 along with misdemeanors for interference with a peace officer and underage consumption of alcohol. - ➤ On Monday, June 23, Cheyenne City Council advanced County Pocket Annexation No. 6 by approving a second reading for annexing 38 properties located south of Dell Range Boulevard, east of Dry Creek, west of Whitney Road and north of Charles Street—part of a plan to unify emergency services—and passed new zoning rules matching county classifications. The measure will raise property taxes by about 5% and require city trash service. Cap City News
- ➤ Brig. Gen. Toby J. Alkire was appointed deputy surgeon general for the Army National Guard—he began his two-year dual assignment on June 1 while continuing his role as Deputy Adjutant General under Lt. Gen. Mary Izaguirre and will travel as needed to the U.S. Army Medical Command. Cap City News
