- ➤ Four Cheyenne residents face felony forgery and conspiracy charges for allegedly using a Terry Bison Ranch credit card to purchase over $3,400 in goods from March 29 to April 13—two appeared in court on Aug. 7 while the other two have hearings scheduled for Aug. 11 and Aug. 21. KING FM
- ➤ Cheyenne woman Wendy Kay Lackey, 52, was arrested on Aug. 12 and charged with four counts of felony drug delivery in connection with Bradley Barter's fatal overdose that occurred on Aug. 10, 2024 on Ranch House Way—police said witness statements, text messages and surveillance footage linked her to the deadly drugs. - ➤ Cheyenne police arrested repeat offender Ronald Jermone McNeill Jr when surveillance showed him leaving Walmart with nearly $600 in merchandise including a Shark vacuum and Skullcandy speaker on July 31—he now faces burglary charges with up to 10 years in prison. Cap City News

- ➤ Cowboy Energy spent three years developing a $155 million agriculture-friendly solar farm in Goshen County that is ready to produce 163 megawatts of power but remains stalled due to a transmission deal with Tri-State that only starts in 2034—forcing the company to seek alternative buyers including Cheyenne data centers and local co-ops. - ➤ Judge Froelicher has kept state funds frozen for private school education after he denied Superintendent Degenfelder’s request to allow the law to take effect while his injunction is appealed to the Wyoming Supreme Court.
