Good morning, Cheyenne.

Police responded at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday to shots fired at Sundance Apartments—215 Walterscheid Blvd in southwest Cheyenne—and found a 23-year-old man who died despite nearby aid while detectives continued questioning witnesses with a heavy patrol in the area.

The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office released an arrest log from August 14th to 15th that listed suspects charged with forgery, theft, DUI, and probation violations—officials noted that all suspects were presumed innocent until convicted.

Cheyenne residents have seen renewed hope for the long-standing Big Hole next to the historic Mary’s Bakery site caused by an arson 21 years ago—today the city has fenced the area and will use taxpayer funds from Proposal 12 in a public-private partnership with LEADS to revitalize the adjacent Hynds building. The plan aims to bring lasting improvements to a long-neglected corner of downtown.
