- ➤ A Cheyenne man, Jonathan Roy Phillips, faces felony theft charges after police say he stole over $2,000 from Sam’s Club by making more than 20 fraudulent returns for tires and batteries on Aug. 22—he is held at Laramie County Detention Center. Cap City News
- ➤ Cheyenne police are asking for help finding 15-year-old Diego Gonzales—last seen on Aug. 24 at South High School—who is 5-foot-9, weighs 130 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes; anyone with information should call dispatch at 307-637-6525. KING FM

- ➤ Cheyenne nun Sister Teresa Frawley, 81, has served Native American communities at Wind River for over 40 years and is named a finalist for the national Lumen Christi Award—finalists receive $15,000 and the winner, to be announced this fall, will share a $100,000 prize. Cap City News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, the EPA proposed approving Wyoming’s coal combustion residuals program so that the state can manage coal waste disposal in landfills and surface impoundments—making it the fifth state with an approved program. If finalized, state leaders say the move will boost energy production while ensuring safety and regulatory certainty. KING FM
- ➤ Cheyenne and Laramie County Animal Control will host a Q&A session from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 3 in the Laramie County Library’s Willow Room—asking residents to bring questions on local animal rules and cases. Cap City News
