  • A 31-year-old Cheyenne man named Eddie Lee Winn was arrested at 9:09 a.m. on Aug. 22 for an alcohol-fueled incident that led to a felony burglary charge—a $3,000 cash bond was set and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 3.  KING FM
  • A Cheyenne man aged 31—identified as Eddie Lee Winn—was arrested at 9:09 a.m. on Aug.22 for an alleged burglary involving alcohol and faced felony charges with a $3,000 bond set while his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept.3 at 2:15 p.m.  106.3 Cowboy Country
  • The Cheyenne Police Department responded to a lockdown alarm at East High School on Friday morning that appears to have been activated in error — officers remained on scene until officials confirmed the building was safe for students to resume activities.  Cap City News
  • More than two months after Kevin Hefley, a Pine Bluffs crop duster pilot, was fatally shot on June 24 in the 1200 block of County Road 157, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office said detectives are still working on the complex case and have located a suspect — further details remain limited.  Cowboy State Daily
  • A 31-year-old Cheyenne man allegedly committed burglary with alcohol involvement and was arrested on August 22 at 9:09 a.m.—his preliminary hearing on Sept. 3 at 2:15 p.m. will address felony burglary and domestic battery charges with a $3,000 cash bond.  KGAB

  • Wyoming launched the Frontier Stable Token to give citizens a secure way to make digital transactions — the token works on seven blockchains and is managed by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission. Governor Mark Gordon said the new currency will help modernize payments and boost consumer protection.  KING FM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Amber Potts has been named the new Air Quality Administrator at the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, filling a spot opened in May when Nancy Vehr became DEQ Deputy Director—she has 24 years of service and plans to protect Wyoming’s air quality.  Cap City News
  • On Friday, Wyoming legislators discussed proposals to draft bills that could cap the number of landowner hunting tags and allow their sale after the Pathfinder Ranch received 57 tags — far above the allowed two per property. Officials said the changes will aim to ensure fair hunting access while considering the needs of traditional family ranchers.  Cowboy State Daily
