- ➤ The Mustang Center said that plans to manage Pryor Mountain wild horses will threaten 57 years of cooperation between local advocates and the Bureau of Land Management—this change may disrupt longstanding efforts in wild horse management. Wyoming Tribune Eagle
- ➤ State Sen. Troy McKeown accused Gillette city officials of hiding nuclear deals behind closed doors during a council meeting on August 19th—he said the secret nondisclosure with BWXT hurt public trust. He warned that such secrecy may favor business interests over community safety. Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Wyoming regulators will soon take over oversight for toxic coal ash storage at coal-fired power plants—this change shifts a responsibility from federal hands and will add extra environmental rules. A 60-day public comment period has begun and the EPA will hold a hearing in Cheyenne on October 30. Cap City News
