CRIME NEWS

  • On Sept. 3, a 30-year-old man allegedly robbed a store at knifepoint at Murdoch's Ranch and Home Supply by threatening an employee and fleeing in a silver Nissan—he was later arrested during a high-risk traffic stop at a Maverik.  KING FM
  • A 41-year-old Cheyenne man, Henry Daniel Resler Jr, was arrested on Aug. 27 at Maverik on E. Lincolnway for meth possession and booked at Laramie County Detention Center with a $5,000 cash bond and a Sept. 5 hearing.  KING FM
  • A 44-year-old Cheyenne man was arrested after a deputy stopped him on East 18th Street at 1:11 a.m. on August 28 for speeding in a 30-mph zone while failing field sobriety tests and officers found 13.2 grams of cocaine on him—he later posted bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 5 at 9 a.m.  KGAB

  • The Mayor's Council for People with Disabilities announced a free Safety Symposium at the Laramie County Library on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., where speakers like City Councilman Pete Laybourn and Wyoming State Director of AARP Sam Shumway will offer practical tips on making homes, communities, and disaster responses safer — sponsors will provide light refreshments.  Cap City News

  • Former Wyoming players are preparing as the NFL season kicks off tonight. Josh Allen (recent MVP for the Bills) and teammates including Carl Granderson and Logan Wilson aim to build on last season's efforts and help their teams improve.  Cap City News
