- ➤ A Denver man with a long criminal record was arrested in Cheyenne for felony methamphetamine possession when police found him near West Lincolnway and Snyder Avenue at 12:41 a.m. on Aug. 27 + he faces a preliminary hearing on Sept. 10 at 2:15 p.m. with a $10,000 bond. KING FM
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Wyoming PBS received three nominations for the 2025 Public Media Awards for a documentary on cannabis, a bikepacking film in the Red Desert, and a digital series episode on dog sled storytelling, with the awards to be announced on Sept. 15. Content director Jeremy Moore said the nods show the station's strong media work (highlighting its local focus). KING FM

- ➤ A 2025 report by National Low Income Housing shows that for every 10 very low-income renter households in Wyoming, only five affordable rental homes are available — a clear sign of a housing shortage.
