- ➤ Lightweight steer calves sold for over seven dollars a pound last week and 1,000-pound yearling steers sold for $3.35, and experts say high beef prices will stay for years due to strong demand and improved cattle genetics. - ➤ Cheyenne — The Wyoming Department of Education was awarded a $24.4 million federal grant for a Comprehensive Literacy State Development program that will improve reading instruction in schools over the next five years. Wyoming Tribune Eagle

- ➤ On September 21, 2025, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department captured two grizzly bear cubs on private land after hazing attempts failed to change their behavior— the department, in cooperation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and Shoshone National Forest, relocated the cubs to the Clarks Fork River drainage 26 miles northwest of Cody. - ➤ The Wyoming Attorney General’s Office argued Tuesday that Judge Peter Froelicher’s order — which requires lawmakers to fund school upgrades like providing each student with a computer — improperly gives schools control over funding instead of keeping it with the legislature.
