  • In a video virtual roadway safety session by Injury Prevention Resources, Cheyenne drivers are reminded that buckling up takes only 3 seconds to protect everyone on Wyoming roads.   • GasBuddy reports Wyoming gasoline prices have dropped to an average of $3.02 per gallon today — down nearly 20 cents from last year and 6.7 cents from last week.  KING FM
  • The U.S. Bureau of Land Management issued a record of decision on Thursday that greenlit the sale of 441 million tons of coal in the Powder River Basin — setting an auction date for the state's first major coal lease in a decade.  The Cheyenne Post

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • State wildlife managers remain in a holding pattern on designating a migration corridor for Wyoming Range mule deer after a plan was halted six years ago, and wildlife advocates say the herd should be a top priority. Gov. Mark Gordon will soon review new recommendations for pronghorn migration protections while some urge similar steps for mule deer—concerns grow over habitat pressure from energy and grazing interests.  Cap City News

  • A new analysis from Upgraded Points shows that 13.6% of young adults in Wyoming have delinquent credit card debt based on recent Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia data — highlighting challenges that may spur future financial counseling — and it underscores the need for improved credit awareness among young consumers.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

  • Lawmakers heard a pitch to redraw legislative districts so rural counties get a greater voice in the statehouse—Weston County last year proposed sending extra lawmakers to address its underrepresentation. SPORTS NEWS

  • Wyoming head coach Jay Sawvel said he seeks growth from offensive players like quarterback Kaden Anderson and left tackle Jake Davies as the Cowboys prepare for their conference game against UNLV on Saturday at 5 p.m. on CBS Sports Network — the team is coming off losses to Utah and Colorado and will work to boost its 100th-ranked offense early in the game — showing optimism for more involvement from its young players.  KGAB
