- ➤ Wyoming now features a list of its top ten haunted places—sites like Cheyenne’s Historic Plains Hotel, where a ghost bride roams, and Buffalo’s Occidental Hotel, known for eerie guest encounters, are noted alongside other locations with strange pasts and paranormal events. KGAB
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Cheyenne Municipal Building will remain closed for 30 days after carbon monoxide was reported last week, and City services will continue from other locations and via phone+email to serve the public. City Council meetings will be held at the Laramie County School District #1 Board Room with sessions streamed on Zoom. KFBC
- ➤ The City of Cheyenne is filling a council vacancy after last week's passing by starting a process today with the Public Services Committee and planning a full Governing Body vote on Oct. 13; Ward I residents can apply until Oct. 20 at 5 p.m.—Councilmen Pete Laybourn and Jeff White will review candidates to fill Councilman Scott Roybal's term ending in January. - ➤ On Saturday night in Laramie, Wyoming’s Cowboys lost 31-17 to UNLV when two blocked punts were returned for touchdowns—hurting their special teams.
