COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Loved ones, caregivers and supporters of Wyomingites with Alzheimer’s will gather in Cheyenne on Saturday for the Laramie County Walk to End Alzheimer’s—an event to raise awareness of the condition.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Yesterday, Related Digital broke ground on its $1.2 billion data center in Cheyenne—using water-free cooling systems and expected to create over 700 construction jobs, 40 permanent positions, and boost local tax revenue while local officials celebrated the milestone. The company also announced a $3.5 million grant to start a project that will provide 184 affordable housing units designed to cost only 30% of tenants’ income.  Cap City News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Tomorrow, the Nicolaysen Art Museum will host the free opening reception for the Wyoming Wind exhibition from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.—the event will include a curatorial conversation by Ginger Shulick Porcella at 6:30 and showcase works by local Wyoming artists. The exhibition is part of the Wyoming Arts Council’s Biennial Fellowship Exhibition and will run through December 19.  KING FM

EDUCATION NEWS

  • CHEYENNE + The Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Monday to approve an amended policy covering seclusion, restraint, forcible physical contact and corporal punishment. The updated policy will guide school practices for student safety.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Former U.S. Attorney for Wyoming Kip Crofts said Tuesday that a proposed state bill requiring Congress to authorize deployment of the National Guard would delay quick emergency responses—he argued that the president should have the authority to act immediately during urgent situations amid a government shutdown.  Cowboy State Daily

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Cheyenne Recreation Division announced registration is open for the 2026 Co-Rec Adult Volleyball League with teams and individuals able to sign up until Nov. 20 to avoid a $50 late fee—season play begins Jan. 12 and runs through March with games held at The Beast and Youth Activity — Community Center on Monday through Thursday evenings.  City of Cheyenne
  • Joey Novak, a wrestler for the University of Wyoming, will compete against Stephen Little on Nov. 1 at Rutgers University—Jersey Mike’s Arena for the NWCA All-Star Classic. He had reversed a previous loss by winning 13-5 at the 2025 NCAA Championships.  KGAB
