  • The Human Bean opens its second Cheyenne drive-thru today at 5215 Yellowstone Road, offering specialty-grade coffee, real-fruit smoothies, and Bright Energy drinks. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Scientists found avian paramyxovirus — a virus in doves and pigeons — in Eurasian collared-doves from Casper, Green River, Riverton, and Rock Springs.   • The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is hosting a wildlife photo contest that lets photographers submit up to 10 original photos in four categories—Wildlife, Scenic, Recreation, and Flora—by November 17.   • Cowboy State Daily’s newscast on Thursday reports that a skull found in a cave in Carbon County has reopened a 107-year mystery and a Cheyenne-area man faces felony counts after more than 100 animals were found living in poor conditions. HEALTH NEWS

  • Wyoming Game and Fish reported that a viral disease called avian paramyxovirus — which commonly affects doves and pigeons — was recently detected in birds across the state.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle
  • Wyoming health officials are collecting public input through a survey open until Wednesday to help guide spending up to $800 million in federal funds for rural health improvements.
