EDUCATION NEWS

  • Cheyenne Recreation Division launches Tiny Tunes Music Class to help children ages 7 and under explore music with their caregivers through movement, singing and play. Registration is open until October 30 for the six‑week program that runs from the week of November 4 until December 17 with no class during Thanksgiving week — classes are held on Mondays at 10 a.m. or Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. for a $50 fee in small groups.  Cap City News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Board of Public Utilities announced that a section of Storey Boulevard in Cheyenne will close from Nov. 3 to Nov. 21 for Phase II of the North City Improvements Project to connect a new 6-million-gallon water storage tank to the city water system — Garney Construction will complete the work and residents should plan to use alternate routes such as Dell Range Boulevard or East Four Mile Road as the schedule may change due to weather or material delays.  Cap City News
  • During the government shutdown, Wyoming 211 connects residents with food banks, housing, mental health aid and other services—serving as a vital lifeline for families across the state.  KGAB
  • Gov. Mark Gordon named Domenic Bravo as the new executive director of the Wyoming Office of Tourism—Bravo, the former head of Visit Cheyenne, will take over as Diane Shober retires after more than 20 years in the role. He will build on his past work to help continue Wyoming’s tourism growth.  Cap City News

  • The Wyoming Cowgirl golf team finished tied for 17th after Monday’s first round at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at the Ocean Course at Hokuala—junior Elle Higgins and freshman Kiley Reisner shot 76 each to give the team a score of 307, 19 over par.  KGAB
  • Justin Michael for DNVR discussed a coaching change in Fort Collins that could affect Wyoming's football team—he was on SportsZone Tuesday. Wyoming will host Colorado State Saturday afternoon.  KFBC
  • Former Wyoming Cowboys showed mixed results in NFL Week 7. In Cincinnati, Logan Wilson made four tackles and broke up a pass as the Bengals won 33-31—others in Denver, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Buffalo and Green Bay posted key stats while Solomon Byrd rejoined Houston's practice squad.  KGAB
  • At the Pre Nationals meet in Columbia, six Cowgirls and one Cowboy set personal bests as Wyoming finished 12th in the men's race — led by senior Jacob White's top-10 finish — and 29th in the women's. The team will compete in the Mountain West Conference Championships on Oct. 31 in Fresno.  KGAB
