- ➤ Officials warned that carfentanil—an extremely potent synthetic opioid once used to tranquilize large mammals—is increasingly found in illicit drugs in Wyoming and poses a public health risk that may require multiple naloxone doses. On October 21, local authorities evacuated Cheyenne Capitol after a suspected bomb threat, which was later identified as a dismantled firework, and they confirmed no ongoing danger in the area.
