CULTURE NEWS

  • Cheyenne Frontier Days will expand to 10 days for its 130th anniversary, and the rodeo will look a bit different when it kicks off mid-July—organizers have planned updates for spectators.  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Veterans Talking to Veterans offers a scholarship that pays full tuition for a Trauma-Informed Health & Wellness Coach Training Program to one veteran or spouse—eligible applicants must complete a 75-hour course and commit to lead a community coaching group. Applications began on November 1 and must be submitted by December 5 as the scholarship winner will be announced mid-December.  KGAB

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities announced that work on the North City Improvements Project—Phase II will continue through Nov. 26 with Storey Boulevard closed between Powderhouse Road and Converse Avenue; the $14.7 million project will cause temporary water pressure fluctuations and water discoloration as valves are adjusted and construction proceeds.  Cap City News
  • Wyoming SNAP recipients will have their full benefits loaded onto EBT cards tomorrow after delays from the federal shutdown, easing the burden on many families. The Wyoming Department of Family Services finalized all files as the USDA reopened the program — recipients are advised to check their account before shopping.  KING FM
