- ➤ Today, Wyoming drivers see an average gas price of $2.84 per gallon—a 9.5 cent drop from last month—with the lowest station pricing at $2.28 and the highest at $3.39. Nationally, the average holds at $3.03 per gallon while diesel prices rose, and GasBuddy will release its Travel Survey tomorrow to report on shifting travel habits ahead of Thanksgiving. KING FM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees is set to vote tonight at the Storey Gym Boardroom — also available via Zoom — on repurposing the closed Miller Elementary for storage or administrative use and on possibly authorizing litigation over state funding issues. The board will also review additional agenda items, including contracting for high school auditorium audiovisual updates. Cap City News

- ➤ Strong winds and a mix of rain and snow are hitting southeast Wyoming today — gusts near 65 mph on the I-80 Summit create dangerous travel conditions for high-profile vehicles. A High Wind Warning is in effect until 11 p.m. as the Pacific storm system brings heavy mountain snow and cooler temperatures before a warming trend comes Tuesday and Wednesday. Cap City News

- ➤ City officials will hold an open house meeting tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Laramie County Library Cottonwood Room at 2200 Pioneer Ave to explain planned stormwater improvements and the user fee—staff will take questions after a brief presentation. Cap City News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Wyoming forward Gavin Gores was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week on Monday—he averaged 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds and posted career highs against Austin Peay and Portland while helping the Cowboys open the season with a 4-0 record. KGAB
- ➤ Coach Jay Sawvel said the Wyoming offense struggled in two road losses — the team had few first downs and many turnovers. He said players must improve before they say goodbye to 22 seniors on Saturday when they host Nevada at War Memorial Stadium. 106.3 Cowboy Country
- ➤ Wyoming’s offense struggled in a rain-soaked loss to Fresno State last Saturday as the team recorded a season-low 184 yards and did not reach the red zone—sophomore quarterback Kaden Anderson completed only six of 23 passes amid costly mistakes. Head coach Jay Sawvel said plans to replace underperforming skill players will be set in motion as the team looks to improve its scoring record this season. KGAB
