GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, a power outage left over 100,000 customers in Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana without electricity, and Rocky Mountain Power began an internal investigation to find the cause. Some areas saw power return later this afternoon— a fire at the Dave Johnston plant was quickly put out with no injuries reported.  Cap City News
  • The Circle of Citizens Cheyenne Warriors and Friends will hold a town hall on Nov. 29 (10 a.m.) in the Cottonwood Room (at Laramie County Library).  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

HEALTH NEWS

  • New research from Ladah Law Firm shows Wyoming recorded 12 pedestrian deaths during November and December from 2014 to 2023—making it the second-safest among nearby states for walkers this holiday season. Local officials advise pedestrians to wear reflective clothing, use a light, and walk in groups to stay safe when shopping after dark.  106.3 Cowboy Country

  • Former Wyoming Cowboys made a strong impact in NFL Week 11 as Frank Crum blocked a key extra point to help Denver win 22 to 19 over Kansas City—while Bills quarterback Josh Allen made history with three passing and three rushing touchdowns in Buffalo’s 44 to 32 win over Tampa Bay. Other former players from Wyoming recorded solid contributions for Jacksonville and Dallas as their teams secured wins.  KGAB
  • Frank Crum blocked an extra point for the Broncos in a 22 to 19 win over Kansas City while Josh Allen made NFL history by passing for three touchdowns and running for three more in Buffalo’s win over Tampa Bay. Others including Andrew Wingard, Logan Wilson and Carl Granderson played key roles as their teams prepared for Week 12 contests — showcasing a strong performance from former Wyoming Cowboys in the NFL.  106.3 Cowboy Country
  • Former Cowboys quarterback and NFL MVP Josh Allen will return to Laramie this Saturday when his No. 17 jersey is retired at halftime during the sold-out game against Nevada—making it the first retired number in the program's 132-year history.   • Wyoming lost its first road game of the season 78-70 to Sam Houston State on Wednesday night at Johnson Coliseum as a 9-of-22 free throw performance hurt the Cowboys. Leland Walker led with 24 points plus six assists and five rebounds, and the team will return home to play Norfolk State on Sunday at 2 p.m. on MW Network.  KING FM
