  • USPS Operation Santa is now open for letter adoption so local residents can help fulfill children's holiday wishes—families are urged to ship gifts by Dec. 13 to ensure they arrive on time.  KING FM
  • Cheyenne hosts a busy weekend with a livestock expo at the Event Center at Archer offering over $100,000 in prizes on Friday and Saturday at 8 a.m.—with a red carpet ribbon cutting for Sweetwraps Western Gifts at 4 p.m. Friday. Residents can also enjoy local music, open mic comedy, dance shows and a stained glass workshop on Saturday with sessions at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Cap City News
  • The U.S. Postal Service has opened Operation Santa for letter adoption so local families can help fulfill children’s holiday wishes by shipping gifts by December 13. CULTURE NEWS

  • Laramie County Community College is holding its Holiday Collage concert on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Surbrugg/Prentice Auditorium at 1400 E. College Drive — the free event will feature the Cheyenne Brass Band, Collegiate Chorale, Vocal Cantorei, Wind Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra performing festive seasonal music for all ages.  Cap City News

  • Visit Cheyenne is looking for a new president and CEO to lead its tourism promotion and community engagement efforts after Dominic Bravo moved on to head the State Office of Tourism. The board will accept resumes until Dec 15—candidates must show strategic vision and strong community ties to advance Cheyenne’s visitor economy.  KGAB

  • Local author Patrick Schmiedt will be at the Indoor Practice Facility in Laramie on Saturday to introduce his new book Poke Pioneers— a work that details Wyoming Cowboy football before World War II and highlights more than 160 players and coaches including Milward Simpson— offering readers a fresh look at the early days of the program.  KING FM
  • Wyoming offensive linemen Jack Walsh and Caden Barnett said they will stay loyal to the Cowboys and will play tomorrow against Nevada as they push for a bowl game spot.
