  • Cheyenne Community Recreation & Events will debut the Smiles with Santa event on Nov. 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cheyenne Depot, 121 W. 15th St, where families can enjoy free photos with Santa, hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies before the Cheyenne Christmas Parade, and organizers urge early arrival for printed pictures.  City of Cheyenne

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is getting ready to open its 2027 Conservation Stamp Art Contest featuring the Arctic grayling—an iconic native fish known for its shimmering colors and sail-like dorsal fin. Professional artists may submit their original works from January 2 through March 31 while student entries will be accepted until April 10.  KING FM
  • A recent Pew Research Center survey shows 62% of Wyoming adults identify as Christian with Evangelical Protestants at 23%, Mainline Protestants at 19%, Catholics at 12%, and Latter-day Saints at 6%, while about 34% of adults report no religious affiliation. The study also finds fewer young adults attend services regularly—indicating a shift in the state’s religious landscape for the future.  KING FM

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Laramie County’s average price for a gallon of regular gas is $2.65 this week — nearly 40 cents lower than the national average — as Thanksgiving travel nears, with Sam’s Club on Dell Range offering gas for as low as $2.52.  Cap City News
  • Cheyenne – Average gasoline prices in Wyoming dropped 7.8 cents per gallon in the last week, now at $2.76 on Monday (GasBuddy.com surveyed 494 stations).  Wyoming Tribune Eagle

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Cheyenne city offices, the Aquatic Center, and the BEAST Facility will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, and Friday, November 28, which moves the residential trash and recycling pickup from Thursday to Friday. Other services including transit, golf courses, and the ice & events center will have modified schedules—residents should check details for updates.  Cap City News

SPORTS NEWS

  • After a 75-67 win over Norfolk State on Sunday, Wyoming improved to 5-1 but saw a 24-point lead vanish in the second half; head coach Sundance Wicks criticized his players for selfish play and benching underperformers—insisting they must respect the honor of wearing the brown and gold.
